"I feel like I have always been called to missions, I want to live as a missionary over seas one day. Africa's always had my heart, and a couple months ago my church announced we were going on a mission trip there so automatically I was like, "count me in!" We will be there July 13-18th; two weeks! We're helping building a water well because people over seas have to walk outrageous distances just to get to water. Mostly, we'll be at an orphanage where we get to love on and spend time with the children there. We will get to go on a safari and to Victoria Falls, which oddly enough, I'm more excited about the experience of this trip and being broken. Because I expect God to break me while I'm there, just my outlook and perspective and seeing children not have things that I don't even think about getting to use every day. My biggest hope is that I can give back as much as I take and learn and grow from this trip."
I have known Shelbi for quite some time, and hearing her go into detail about her upcoming mission trip left me speechless and inspired. I cannot put into words the admiration I have for this young woman, and what a joy it is to have her in front of my camera!
