Best Wedding Venues of 2017 | Memphis Wedding Photographer
I've gotten the chance to work at SO MANY beautiful wedding venues over the past year that I just couldn't resists sharing some of my favorites. Every venue I photograph weddings at is flawless in it's own way, because that couple chose it and decided that it was the perfect fit for their day!
But I couldn't help choosing a couple of my personal favorite wedding venues from this past year to swoon over and share with you! <3
The Chapel at Plein Air & Taylor Inn, Taylor, MS
Taylor is a tiny town right outside of Oxford, MS and right in the middle of it stands the cutest chapel you have ever seen, The Chapel at Plein Air.
Tall rustic wooden doors, crisp white walls, and giant vintage chapel windows letting in the afternoon golden hour.
It's the perfect wedding venue for any two sweethearts looking for an elegant little chapel with a slightly southern feel.
409 S Main St, Memphis TN
I absolutely LOVE 409 S Main. First of all, the bridal suite and bathroom is literally the most beautiful bathroom I have ever set foot in.
Big, giant warehouse windows and red and white brick walls create an industrial, romantic feeling throughout the entire building. One of my favorite things about 409 S Main is that since it's located right in the heart of Downtown Memphis, there are countless places you can walk to for an after party if by the time your wedding wraps up you aren't ready to go home!
Hedge Farms Weddings & Events, Holly Springs, MS
Hedge Farm Events sits on a beautiful patch of land in Holly Springs, MS. A tall historic home, a lush courtyard, and acres of rolling hills. The farm's historic charm and classic style creates the perfect setting for intimate gatherings and large celebrations. Hedge Farm Events made the cut for favorite wedding venues of 2017 because I absolutely love the open space and the outdoor ceremony/reception areas and the overall romanic feel it provides for couples.
Wiseacre Brewing Co, Memphis TN
Wiseacre Brewing Co. is hands down one of my favorite wedding venues of all time. Although it isn't one of your 'traditional' wedding venues, it's BEYOND gorgeous and a completely unique space. If you are considering a unique, fun-centered venue, this is the one for you! I also love Wiseacre because it's somewhere you can go back and visit on a fun, casual date night.
Celebrating your wedding at Wiseacre Brewing Co, you KNOW your guest will leave raving about your wedding and how fun it was.
Woodruff Fontaine House & Museum, Memphis TN
The Woodruff Fontaine House is easily one of my favorite Memphis wedding venues. This beautiful French Victorian mansion, built in 1870, is full of charm and elegance, and is the perfect fit for any bride searching for a venue with a classy, vintage vibe. This venue is packed with character and has so many ceremony-spot options to chose from! Courtyards, winding stairwells, and a beautiful front porch. Even if you aren't looking for a wedding venue right now, you should totally swing by and take a tour of this Memphis mansion and soak up some of it's history!
The Waterhouse Pavilion, Chattanooga TN
The Waterhouse Pavilion is one of my favorites because it's located right in the middle of Downtown Chattanooga. It's made up of almost entirely windows and beautiful string lights, making the most romantic atmosphere.
The Waterhouse Pavilion is located in Miller Plaza, along with a beautiful green courtyard and a stage that is just perfect for a live band or DJ. I loved the open flow of this space, and how it had so many different areas but they are still connected and all flow together.
The Davis Home at Strawberry Plains, Holly Springs MS
The Davis Home at Strawberry Plains. This southern, Antebellum home is held up by two tall columns that mimic the long rows of trees leading up to the home. The grounds surrounding the home are scattered with wildflowers and greenery, and behind it stretches a long board walk weaving through the nature preserve that makes up most of the property.
It's the perfect wedding venue for any couple searching from an outdoor ceremony spot surrounded by nature.
Keep an eye out for next week's 'Best Of' post!
I don't want to spoil the surprise, but it's gotta lot to do with being dressed in white ;)
