Kittie and Josh’s fall wedding at Ellendale Lodge in Memphis, TN was such an unforgettable afternoon. The leaves changed from green to a glorious golden yellow over night- almost like they were preparing specifically for this day.
Ellendale was Kittie’s childhood home- and has been owned and operated by her family for over 75 years.
The ceremony took place in front of the pond which rippled and reflected the vibrant colors of fall and the glow of the afternoon sun. The sound of rustling leaves blended with the music played by the brass band as their guests found their seats.
When Kittie and Josh first reached out, they mentioned that they were interested in having us bring film to document some of their day, and we’re so glad that they asked us to. The nostalgic, timeless, tangible feeling film photos evokes is hard to put into words, but when you see a moment captured on film, you can just feel it.
Kittie and Josh joined their loved ones behind Mighty Souls Brass Band as they led everyone in a second line parade to the tented reception.
